WALKair 3000 is an advanced point-to-multipoint broadband wireless access solution, delivering Carrier Class, fiber-optic quality services at upstream and downstream rates of up to 36 Mbps. WALKair 3000 is designed for new and established carriers requiring proven last mile solutions for small and medium businesses and multi-dwelling and multi-tenant unit (MDU/MTU) applications. In addition, WALKair 3000 is the optimal solution for next generation cellular backhauling applications.

This WALKair 3000 system is based on our industry-leading cluster of high spectral efficiency, frequency reuse and dynamic bandwidth allocation technologies. The solution delivers the highest coverage capacity available from any broadband wireless access vendor.

WALKair 3000 provides a Carrier Class IP solution over the air, including full IP and ATM QoS. Operating in the 26 GHz band, WALKair 3000 offers up to 36 Mbps net payload per customer premise equipment (CPE). WALKair 3000 is fully integrated and can be collocated with the WALKair 1000 system, using several identical outdoor unit components and the identical infrastructure, network management and planning tools.

WALKair 3000 not only operates in the same environment as WALKair 1000, but can also reside on the same cell, efficiently providing varying bit ranges to a variety of user profiles. Both systems can be deployed on their own, or in tandem, by carriers operating in the licensed spectrum. The integration of the WALKair 1000 and 3000 enables new carriers to deliver the most efficient overall solution to SME and large enterprise markets, facilitating high flexibility in service provision and creating the ideal business model for the given market.

WALKair 3000 system enables operators to supply the most cost-effective entry level for the customer, depending on the customer's current capacity demands and subscriber needs. Each solution can evolve as a pay-as-you-grow modular architecture, exhibiting flexibility for dynamic growth and development as customer and subscriber requirements change. The key to structural flexibility is the adaptation of WALKair Base Station indoor unit architecture can be adapted to a specific deployment evolution phase. WALKair 3000 entry points are designed around three different Base Station platforms as follows:

  • Alvarix Solution (WALKair 1000 & WALKair 3000)@ 10.5GHz an 26GHz
  • WALKair 3000 BS-SA (Stand-Alone solution) @ 10.5GHz, 26GHz an 28GHz

WALKair 3000 Highlights

  • WALKair 3000 enables full flexibility of BS platforms through its stackable architecture supporting Micro-Base Station as well as high capacity base stations. The BS-SA has been developed as a cost-effective, low-entry price solution where one sector has to be deployed. It is also ideal for initial project phases for which the business case model has not yet been approved.
  • Up to 34 Mbps per customer (upstream and downstream) symmetrical over 14MHz channels
  • Multi-carrier TDMA, up to four carriers per sector with single outdoor unit per sector
  • Dual modulation, 16QAM and QPSK with automatic switchover
  • full redundancy on outdoor units (RFU and ntenna), indoor units and E1 connectivity to the operator's backbone.
  • Full end-to-end QoS supporting IP
  • Flexible service provisioning combining committed and maximum information rates (CIR/MIR) and support for different classes of service levels
  • CPE services: IP (n x 10/100 Base-T), n x E1 / fractional E1
  • Extremely high capacity Base Station.
  • Highest spectral efficiency - 2.5 Bit/Sec/Hz
  • SNMP-based management system and powerful network planning tool
  • Co-location and full integration with WALKair 1000
